Zudem absolvierte er Postgraduate-Ausbildungen zu Kulturmanagement, Kunstmanagement und Library and Information Studies in Wien und Salzburg. Er war t\u00e4tig als Projektmanager an der \u00d6sterreichischen Nationalbibliothek (1997-2000), stellvertretender Leiter der Handschriftensammlung der Wienbibliothek im Rathaus (2000-2005), stellvertretender Leiter der Universit\u00e4tsbibliothek Wien (2005-2010), Direktor der Universit\u00e4tsbibliothek Mainz (2010-2018) und Direktor der Universit\u00e4tsbibliothek der Freien Universit\u00e4t Berlin (2018-2024). He also completed postgraduate training in cultural management, art management and library and information studies in Vienna and Salzburg. He worked as a project manager at the Austrian National Library (1997-2000), deputy head of the manuscript collection of the Vienna Library in the Town Hall (2000-2005), deputy head of the Vienna University Library (2005-2010), director of the Mainz University Library (2010-2018) and Director of the University Library of the Free University of Berlin (2018-2024).
