Nach dem Studium war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Ludwig Boltzmann Institut f\u00fcr Gesellschafts- und Kulturgeschichte Graz, Lektor an der Universit\u00e4t Graz, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer der Buchhandlung \u201eUniShop\u201c in Graz sowie Senior Researcher am Institut f\u00fcr Geschichte der Universit\u00e4t Graz. 2003 wurde Lechner zum Bibliotheksdirektor an der Kunstuniversit\u00e4t Linz bestellt. Zus\u00e4tzlich \u00fcbt er an der Kunstuniversit\u00e4t Linz Funktionen als Vizerektor f\u00fcr Forschung (2005-2011), Stabstelle f\u00fcr Finanzen (2011-2015) und als Vizerektor f\u00fcr Finanzen (2015-2019) aus.<\/p>\n

Manfred Lechner (born in 1964) studied History at the University of Graz. On completing his studies, he was a scientific member of staff at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Social and Cultural History Graz, lecturer at the University of Graz, Managing Director of the \u2018UniShop\u2019 book shop in Graz and a senior researcher at the Institute for History at the University of Graz. In 2003, Lechner was appointed to the post of Library Director at the University of Art and Design Linz. In addition, he exercises functions at the University of Art and Design Linz as Vice Rector for Research (2005 \u2013 2011), Administrative Department for Finances (2011 \u2013 2015) and as Vice Rector for Finances (2015-2019).<\/p>\n
