Karin Cepicka (geb. 1961) studierte Deutsche Philologie und Geographie und Wirtschaftskunde an der Universität Wien und hat 1984 an der Universitätsbibliothek Wien begonnen und als Referentin für Geographie sowie an der Fachbibliothek für Geographie gearbeitet. Ab 1986 war sie im Team der Fakultätsbibliothek für Medizin tätig und absolvierte 1990 die Ausbildung für den Bibliotheks-, Dokumentations- und Informationsdienst in Wien. Seit 2005 war sie stellvertretende Leiterin der Bibliothek der Medizinischen Universität Wien. 2021 wurde Cepicka mit der Leitung der Bibliothek betraut. Karin Cepicka (born 1961) studied German Philology and Geography and Economics at the University of Vienna. She began working at the Vienna University Library in 1984 as a consultant for geography and at the specialist library for geography. From 1986 she worked in the team of the Faculty Library for Medicine and completed her training for the library, documentation and information service in Vienna in 1990. Since 2005 she has been deputy head of the library at the Medical University of Vienna. In 2021, Cepicka was entrusted with the management of the library.
