Astrid Haas (geb. 1981), begann ihre berufliche Laufbahn im Jahr 1998 an der Universitätsbibliothek Graz. Im Jahr 2004, im Zuge der Ausgliederung der Medizinischen Fakultät aus der Universität Graz, wechselte sie zur Medizinischen Universitätsbibliothek Graz. Die Lehrabschlussprüfung als Archiv-, Bibliotheks- und Informationsassistentin legte sie 2005 in Graz ab und absolvierte 2008 die Berufsreifeprüfung an der Bundeshandelsakademie Feldbach/Steiermark. Von 2020 bis 2023 studierte sie berufsbegleitend Information, Medien und Kommunikation an der Fachhochschule Burgenland. Ihre Tätigkeitsbereiche umfassten die Print- und elektronischen Medien, Innovation und Entwicklung sowie Öffentlichkeitsarbeit. Seit Oktober 2023 ist Haas Leiterin der Medizinischen Universitätsbibliothek Graz. UB der Medizinischen Universität Graz |

Astrid Haas (born 1981) began her professional career in 1998 at the Graz University Library. In 2004, as part of the spin-off of the Medical Faculty from the University of Graz, it moved to the Medical University Library of Graz. She passed her final apprenticeship examination as an archive, library and information assistant in Graz in 2005 and completed the professional qualification examination at the Federal Commercial Academy in Feldbach/Styria in 2008. From 2020 to 2023 she studied information, media and communication part-time at the Burgenland University of Applied Sciences. Her areas of activity included print and electronic media, innovation and development and public relations. Haas has been head of the Medical University Library of Graz since October 2023.
