Kunstuniversität LinzManfred Lechner (geb. 1964) studierte Geschichte an der Universität Graz. Nach dem Studium war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für Gesellschafts- und Kulturgeschichte Graz, Lektor an der Universität Graz, Geschäftsführer der Buchhandlung „UniShop“ in Graz sowie Senior Researcher am Institut für Geschichte der Universität Graz. 2003 wurde Lechner zum Bibliotheksdirektor an der Kunstuniversität Linz bestellt. Zusätzlich übt er an der Kunstuniversität Linz Funktionen als Vizerektor für Forschung (2005-2011), Stabstelle für Finanzen (2011-2015) und als Vizerektor für Finanzen (2015-2019) aus.

Manfred Lechner (born in 1964) studied History at the University of Graz. On completing his studies, he was a scientific member of staff at the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Social and Cultural History Graz, lecturer at the University of Graz, Managing Director of the ‘UniShop’ book shop in Graz and a senior researcher at the Institute for History at the University of Graz. In 2003, Lechner was appointed to the post of Library Director at the University of Art and Design Linz. In addition, he exercises functions at the University of Art and Design Linz as Vice Rector for Research (2005 – 2011), Administrative Department for Finances (2011 – 2015) and as Vice Rector for Finances (2015-2019).
